EuBiologics has announced a strategic investment of approximately US$ 10 million (KRW 14.9 billion) to acquire additional shares in its US-based joint venture, EuPOP Life Sciences. With this investment, EuBiologics will expand its stake in EuPOP Life Sciences to 80%, securing greater corporate control and accelerating its global research and development initiatives.
EuPOP Life Sciences is a joint venture established between EuBiologics and US-based Pop Biotechnologies. The entity develops next-generation vaccines by combining EuBiologics’ immune enhancement platform technology, 'EulMT', with Pop Biotechnologies’ antigen display platform, 'SNAP'.
The joint venture’s current pipeline includes premium vaccine candidates such as 'EuRSV' (for respiratory syncytial virus) and 'EuHZV' (for shingles), both of which are currently in Phase 1 clinical trials in South Korea, alongside an ongoing program for an Alzheimer's disease (AD) vaccine.
