PADIVAX™ Phase 1 IND Submitted in South Korea, Advancing EuPOP’s Alzheimer’s Vaccine Program
August 18, 2026
EuPOP Life Sciences has reached an important development milestone with the submission of a Phase 1 Investigational New Drug (IND) application in South Korea for PADIVAX™, its dual-target therapeutic vaccine candidate for Alzheimer’s disease.
On August 18, 2026, EuBiologics Co., Ltd. submitted the IND application to South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) to initiate a first-in-human Phase 1 clinical study of PADIVAX™.
PADIVAX™ is being developed as an active immunization therapy designed to generate immune responses against both amyloid beta (Aβ) and tau, two proteins closely associated with the pathology and progression of Alzheimer’s disease. By targeting both proteins simultaneously, the program is intended to explore a differentiated therapeutic approach to a disease that continues to present significant unmet medical need.
The vaccine candidate incorporates EuIMT, an immune-enhancement platform based on a TLR4 agonist, together with SNAP, a nanoparticle-based antigen-display technology. Preclinical studies demonstrated antigen-specific antibody responses against both amyloid beta and tau, along with encouraging findings in cognitive function and safety in Alzheimer’s disease animal models.
The planned Phase 1 study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of PADIVAX™ in patients with mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease or mild Alzheimer’s disease. The study is expected to assess multiple dose levels and monitor immune responses, including antibody generation, following vaccination.
EuBiologics will conduct the Phase 1 clinical study in South Korea. EuPOP Life Sciences holds the development and commercialization rights to PADIVAX™ and intends to lead the program’s subsequent global development following completion of Phase 1.
The IND submission marks a major step in advancing PADIVAX™ from preclinical development into human clinical evaluation. It also represents an important milestone in EuPOP’s strategy to build a global pipeline of innovative vaccines and immunotherapies based on the EuIMT and SNAP technology platforms.
As PADIVAX™ progresses through clinical development, EuPOP plans to continue advancing the program toward broader international development and future commercialization opportunities.
